New Meth Regulations for Rental Properties came into effect on Thursday 16th April 2026.
Maximum Acceptable Level of 15 µg per 100cm2
Maximum Inhabitable Level of 30 µg per 100cm2
These regulations only apply to rental properties governed by the Residential Tenancies Act.
For the Sale and Purchase of Property plus Cars, Boats and Motorhomes the NZ Standard, NZS8510:2017, still applies.
